| Origin set incorrectly in CAM software. | The program origin must not be set at the same location as chuck or tailstock. Some amount of unused material is required on either end to avoid conflict with chuck and tailstock. |
| Orientation of rotary axis configuration in CAM or Mach4 does not match physical orientation/location of the rotary axis. | Check configuration and adjust as needed to ensure CAM and physical configuration/orientation are the same. |
