Control PC and Laptop Recommendations

We recommend using a dedicated PC to serve as your machine's CNC controller.

If you purchase a complete Avid CNC machine, a control software license is included.

Minimum recommended requirements for Laptop / Desktop:

Operating system: Windows 10 or Windows 11
Network connection: Ethernet port (preferred) or adapter
CPU: Modern Intel or AMD multi-core CPU (min. 1500 single thread benchmark)
RAM: 8GB
Storage: SSD (solid state drive, do not use a mechanical hard drive)
Minimum screen resolution: 1920 x 1080 (16:9 aspect ratio required, larger resolutions will work scaled)

Upon purchase, you will be provided with a registration code and instructions to obtain your license and software via email.
Registration codes for software-only orders will be delivered the same business day if ordered before 12:00pm Pacific Time, or the next business day otherwise.
Software purchases are non-refundable after registration codes are delivered.
